Describe your office space to us
Designed by architecture and design firm ADDInc Miamiand constructed by KM-Plaza, interactive agency BGT’s brand-new, custom-built, 30,000 square-foot global headquarters in Miami, FL was crafted to make both Facebook and Google envious. - Polished concrete floors; 14-foot exposed warehouse ceilings; industrial materials like raw plywood, rusted metal angle irons and barn-like wood paneling
- An eight-sided conference room, the “Octagon,” with a 35’ ceiling, a 15’ projection screen and a 10’ spiral light fixture hand-made in Italy
- An expansive, iPad-friendly conference table flanked by modern Herman Miller chairs and a working “garage door”
- A spacious employee lounge complete with an open kitchen, built-in benches, a popcorn machine, an industrial-strength espresso machine and a performance area for in-house bands
- Two “living walls” made from hanging plants in one of the collaborative breakout rooms
- The world’s largest “floor-to-ceiling” dry-erase marker board used for brainstorming (30’ x 15’)
- A figure-eight corridor that represents a mile if walked six times
- 22 miles of voice, data and Internet cables
- A transparent server room
- Two large lecture rooms
- A training space that fits up to 20 people
- A creative corner with a piano and Legos

Where did the inspiration for your office space design come from?
For many years, BGT’s co-founder David Clarke had the generalidea and design of BGT’s global headquarters mapped out in his mind. It took several years to find the perfect location, but once BGT decided onthe Village at Gulfstream Park in Miami, FL, David and BGT’s other co-founder Gay Manheimer worked hand-in-hand with the architecture and design firmADD Inc Miami to make the cutting-edge office space a reality.
What is your favorite part/design of your office space and why?
The cornerstone of our new space is the staff café and lounge that’s located in the heart of the office. The whole headquarters was built to make the staff feel like they’re working at home, and this café/lounge area epitomizes this home environment. It includes:
- An eight-sided conference room, the “Octagon,” with a 35’ ceiling, a 15’ projection screen and a 10’ spiral light fixture hand-made in Italy
- An expansive, iPad-friendly conference table flanked by modern Herman Miller chairs and a working “garage door”
- A spacious employee lounge complete with an open kitchen, built-in benches, a popcorn machine, an industrial-strength espresso machine and a performance area for in-house bands
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
We wanted to create a space that reflected the passion, dedication and creativity of our staff. It’s our responsibility to make sure that when BGT’s greatest asset, our staff, leaves the office at night they’re excited to return the next morning – and having a well-designed office space helps to make this goal a reality.
If you could use one word to describe the feel of the office space, what would it be?
Two words: Collaborative and transparent.
Tell us about your company and what it means to you to have a well-designed office space.
