Sayeh’s Notes: Stopping by Bollare and chatting with the founder Alle Fister was a blast. Her space is fun, upbeat, and really glamorous! I had a hard time focusing on the tour she was giving me because of all the great details, colors and accessories throughout her space. One thing I really love is that each room had a different type of wallpaper up. It was anything but ordinary or plain, and the details really do bring the space together. The showroom feels like a girl’s dream closet as you’re surrounded by amazing clothes, shoes, and jewelry.

I noticed that everyone at the office was working off of a white macbook which Alle informed is her way of dealing with cord clutter. It’s not secret that dealing with a mess of cords has always been an office issue but Alle solves all this by having the entire office completely wireless. You don’t see a mess of cords in this space, and I have to say I kind of envy it! I do a good job by keeping cords together and hidden, but to be completely wireless would be amazing!

TOS: Where did the inspiration for your office design come from?

Bollare is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle PR firm- we wanted our office to evoke an upbeat lifestyle of fashion and beauty!  We wanted to create a space that felt like your ultimate dream closet, a place people would want to come, hang out and spend time in- both for our team and for our visitors and clients!  You spend SO much time at work, we wanted to have a space we love and enjoy!

TOS: What is your favorite part/design of your office and why? i.e. the arched window in the front office, etc.

In the ‘office’ we have a series of red chandeliers that we LOVE!  They’re a little glam, a little girly and very fun – just like our team!

TOS: Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has made a difference in the way you and your employees work?

Absolutely!  We are a true team at Bollare- we love having a space that is lovely and being surrounded by people- co-workers, editors, stylists, clients- that we love and enjoy!

TOS: If you could be any type of office accessory, what would you be and why?

One of my favorite people ever is Erin Condren,  she has an amazing line of planners- I am a NUT about mine- only I can write in it, only in a particular type of pen…I love it- it outlines all I have to do and all I’ve accomplished…in my next life I want to be an Erin Condren planner!

TOS: Tell us about Bollare and what it means to you to have an office space that you love.

Bollare is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle PR firm.  I was a member of the initial team at women’s online retailer, ShopBop.com, when the business was sold to amazon in 2006, I founded Bollare with Shopbop as my first client.  Having such an amazing first client afforded us the luxury of choosing who we wanted to work with from the very early stages.  Every client at Bollare is someone we’ve hand selected because we love their product- it is something any of the team members at Bollare would use, wear, love… That is really important to us- staying authentic and speaking passionately about the clients we have and adore naturally leads us to further successes!  We’re a very lucky group!

Sayeh: I’d have to agree with Alle and say my favorite part is also the gorgeous red chandeliers in the main room. You’d think that such a bright red wouldn’t fit in with a baby blue, but it looks amazing. I only wish I could bring all of you with me on these tours!
