Describe your office space to us
My office is light and airy, but cheerful and organized at the same time. I used a neutral gray on the walls and added a punch of color with the turquoise drapes.
Where did the inspiration for your office space design come from?
Most of my inspiration came from some of the blogs I frequently read in the mornings, as well as some of my favorite magazines.
What is your favorite part/design of your office space and why? i.e. the arched window in the front office, etc.
It’s hard to pick one thing! I love the drapes for sure. They are my favorite color and are such a bold graphic pattern, which is something I’m drawn to. I also love the Expedit bookcases. I can’t imagine this room without those bookcases, they really help me stay organized.
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you work?
YES! Before I used to work/read in the kitchen or in bed or the living room…I was scattered all over the place. It’s nice to have a room where I can keep all of my school/work related things and I also come in here for some peace and quiet.
Where do you see the design of your office in 10 years?
Probably an organized space that is still very much “me.” Bold, fun, cheerful and energetic.
Tell us about your company and what it means to you to have a well-designed office space.
I blog over at Casa Greer, where I share projects we are working on in our house as we try to turn it into something that feels more like “home.” I enjoy writing about interior design, sharing inspirational spaces and tackling a good DIY project. I’m currently in interior design school and hope to soon launch my own interior design business. Having a well-designed office space that works for me has been very important to keep me organized, inspired and energized to continue to work hard. I find that I work better and concentrate much more in my office than any other room. I love it so much I don’t mind spending a ton of time in here!
