How to Make your Office More Fun!
I recently had a client request that I make his company’s office more fun. We’ll need to re-do some of the layout for other reasons but this was by far my favorite request I’ve gotten from a client. I always talk about how having a well designed office space has several benefits including making your employees happy and now I want to get into adding some fun without going overboard.
I’ve talked about an idea room and I still think its one of the best places to have in an office space. Similar to an idea room, a drawing space is not just for company ideas but where employees can doodle their thoughts, play tic-tac-toe or to jot down positive and up beat notes for the day. Taking a break away from work has actually been proven to make you a happier more productive employee so adding a Drawing Space is both fun + productive.
Add your own Drawing Space today
You don’t need a lot of room and you definitely don’t need a dedicated room. Just one wall in your office will suffice. You can use chalkboard paint; whiteboard paint and now they even have a clear version of whiteboard paint so you can keep the same color on all your walls. It’s an easy one day project and you can even get your employees involved in the painting.
Fun Office Supplies
Let your employees choose their own office supplies to style their desk space and it’ll add a feeling of ownership and personalization. Oh, did I mention that it’s a lot of fun? I’m not talking about desks covered in useless knickknacks but fun version of every day office supplies.

Chalkboard paint is a great addition to any home office! Being able to keep a running wall of ideas, questions, due dates and so forth is much better than dozens of postits. Plus getting up and writing it out is nice change of pace when you just sit all day.
