I Heart Wednesdays-Roses are Red…Violets are Blue…
Hello again,
Believe it or not, often times people will ask what types of flowers they should put in there office or whether they should have any at all. I can understand how this decision can be a bit tiresome because there are just SO many flowers to choose from! Roses, daisies, peonies, carnations, orchids…and the list goes on!
What flower to put in your office just depends on the type of work you do and the image you would like to have in front of your clients/customers. For those of you working out of your home or those in a cubicle, the same applies here. Just like with Office Styling, you want to ask yourself these questions:
What do I want my office/space to say about me?
How do I want to feel when I am at my workspace?
What colors inspire me the most?
Now I have a list of MY favorite flowers that I love to have at my office, and pretty much every where for that matter.
From order of my favorites first:
Tulips

To give your space a more classic feel, tulips are just the fit.
Orchids

Orchids can bring a zen like atmosphere with one single orchid plant. Keep it simple with orchids, a bouquet is too much for this flower.
Peonies

A recent favorite of mine, peonies will exude feminity and certainly bring in beauty into your space.
Now remember to keep it simple when it comes to flowers as with all Office Styling. Large bouquets of flowers border tacky no matter how grand you may want to be. Also keep in mind that having any type of strong smelling flowers may have the opposite effect on visitors and for yourself. No one wants to walk in and feel like they’re in a human sized perfume bottle!
