Life at Work with Country Music Singer Laura Bryna

Country music singer Laura Bryna is a quite an inspiration. Always in touch with the people that matter the most in her life, supporting our US soldiers, and living her dreams every day of her life, she’s one lucky lady. We’re pretty lucky here at TheOfficeStylist to get to see what life at work for a country music singer is like. We’ve definitely learned a few things from Laura, take a peek below to see the interview.

Describe your typical workday

On the Road: get up, little vocal warm-up, have breakfast, check in with my Mommy, check emails, voice mails, texts, do phone interviews. Shower, get dressed, do hair and makeup and head to radio and television stations for on-air interviews. Head to venue for rehearsal and do more interviews. Then relax and get ready for the show warm-up, go over ideas and notes, meet and greet with my fans-love it!

Then Hit It!

Not on the Road: Get up, warm-up, have breakfast, check in with my Mommy, check emails, voice mails, texts, phone interviews, rehearsal, grab a bite of lunch, dance class, then head to the studio, eat dinner on a break while at the recording studio, or dinner with friends, then crash into bed.

If you could work anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Anywhere, really. I love working all over the world living my dream: seeing new places, meeting and performing for my fans.

How would you describe your workspace?

Very organized.

What is one “work item” you can’t live without (could be your planner, laptop, iphone, ipad, etc)?

My big, wide-spaced calendar and my Droid. I just joined this century!

If you could switch careers for a day, what would you do?

I would be a teacher- love teaching kids and inspiring them-that’s what my teachers did for me, so I wanna give back.

You have so much going on; can you give us one tip on how you keep it all together?

Being organized, always learn, be able to budget your time, and don’t accept “no” for an answer.

What are 3 things fans don’t know about you?

I make crazy animal noises, i was MVP in basketball in high school-scary, I know, and I did go to the wrong basket once. I love archaeology, love animals and giving back by supporting our military men and women and their families.

About Laura:

Bryna’s road to the spotlight began as a young girl growing up in Mount Airy, MD. In high school, she was tapped to join the Kennedy Center’s Summer Drama Workshop, and then went on to graduate from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. Following college, Bryna packed her car and headed to Nashville to pursue a recording career.

Today, Bryna is based in Nashville and Los Angeles, where she is set to record her second album, one with a pop-rock sensibility. She has signed on as a host with GoTV Networks “True Country” (www.truecountry.tv), a mobile country music video channel. She was also named a celebrity spokesperson with the National Guard Youth Foundation, an organization combining Federal, State and Private Donations, that helps teenagers failing high school to get on track and live productive lives.
