Live Well at Work
Some people think that working always involves someone going into an office from 9-5. I’m here to tell you that times are and have been changing. It’s quite normal to have employees work from home and more and more people starting businesses. On top of that, you have your stay at home parents and road sales warriors too. What does that all mean?
It means your typical office is no longer typical. Companies far and wide have chosen to have better office design and open spaces to have a more positive and engaging environment for their employees. Home workers are finding their freedom to be a blessing and are investing in things to create the workspace they want. Workers that are constantly traveling are even finding ways at personalizing their work. Even if you’re in a cubicle, there are ways to dress it up, even small tweaks here and there to make your workspace the environment you want.
With that being said, there is no reason you shouldn’t live well at work(c). You don’t need to hate walking into your office, eat bad snacks through out the day or stick to a strict 80′s version of an office wardrobe. In case you haven’t noticed, that’s what this magazine is all about. If you don’t already, be sure to checkout all our sections, from furniture and accessories in Office Style, to getting ideas for your own space in our Office Profiles section.
Pick one section of your “Work Life” you want to focus on improving and do that this month.
Let me know how it goes,

I have an atypical office in that I teach in a high school classroom. I have, however, personalized it to fit my personality, my needs, and my comfort.
I practically live there so I need it to be warm, inviting, colorful, and interesting.
Cheers,
Laura
At this point in time I work in one of those offices created by someone who should have stuck to being an accountant (no offence!) but truly it is totally devoid of color, design or any pleasurable aesthetic no windows fake light & it is so common for ppl to work like this. I absolutely crave to go to lunch to be outside w colour, light, space & fresh air! Yr blog is a beautiful & inspiring place where I create a new beautiful workspace for my next place of work. Thank you xxx
