The office at Off Madison Ave, located in the heart of Phoenix in the Papago Park area, is a combination of industrial and modern design. Exposed wood and steel beams and concrete floors at Off Madison Ave create an urban vibe and channels New York City at every turn.
Unique design elements include:
- · Authentic New York City phone booths in both the lobby and loft.
- · Conference room tables weight about 3,700 pounds and gravity alone holds the table together.
- · A commercial garage door in the main conference room that operates by remote. The garage door is significant because it represents Off Madison Ave’s humble beginnings in a home garage.
- · A urban-style loft
- · Floor-to-ceiling windows that capture the picturesque mountain ranges and desert landscape so employees can enjoy the views while working.
Where did the inspiration for your office space design come from?
We were inspired by New York City and how the Big Apple cultivates an environment where individuals of all walks of life thrive. New York City’s influences are in our DNA as a company. Our name
What is your favorite part/design of your office space and why?
Our lobby doubles as a rotating art gallery where we host a different artist, photographer or illustrator every quarter. The gallery is a source of great pride because it celebrates the creativity we value so highly. The artists we showcase range from the internally known to students participating in their first show. Once an artist’s show is complete, we purchase a piece of art for our office’s walls.
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
Absolutely. We feel our team has embraced the work space wholeheartedly since we moved to this office almost two years ago. In our business, working in unison is how we work best, which is what our office design encourages. Our employees sit at low cubicles in order to encourage regular communication. Spaces around the office such as mini conference rooms, our loft and outdoor balcony give our staffers and alternative to working at their desk. These are just a few examples that have helped increase communication, creativity and production.

As a communications and marketing company, it is important that we foster a creative and collaborative environment. Many at Off Madison Ave are artists, from musicians and actors to fine artists and photographers. We continually provide tools and encouragement for all of our employees’ creative pursuits, and our office space reflects that core value.
