How does the view make you feel when you look at it?
The great thing about our office is that the view outside our windows is constantly changing, which allows us to experience something unique each and every day! One day we will watch a group of tourists order food from the hot dog stand, the next we will watch a pack of 50+ cyclists make their way down the Highway 101. It never gets dull! My favorite view is catching the sunset on Tide Beach. Watching the sun hit the waves at just the right moment makes me feel grateful and lucky to be working in such a beautiful beach side town like Solana Beach!
Would you say that having a great view has improved your life at work?
I’m a firm believer that the people your surround yourself with have a lot do with your overall well being. I would have to say that concept also applies to where you live, eat, workout, and of course, work! I spend more than half my day at work, so a beach view, ocean waves, and an ever-changing landscape on the Highway 101 can get the wheels turning! We work with a lot of fitness clients, so it helps to see runners jog by our space, surfers head to the beach, and a group of women head to a barre or yoga studio to get the ideas churning. Our view has really sparked some creative energy and also provides a peaceful atmosphere in the demanding field of PR!
What is the worst view you’ve had from a workspace before?
It’s hard to get a bad view in Southern California, but I’d say a space overlooking the 405 Freeway was the worst. It constantly reminded me of my dreadful and bumper to bumper ride home – talk about the opposite of peaceful.
If you could choose any view in the world, what would it be?
Waimea Bay on the North Shore of O’ahu. I would frequent this beach on family trips when I was younger, it’s absolutely beautiful and reminds me of everything happy! Second thought, it may be a bit too distracting…
