We’ve seen gorgeous home office makeovers , some of which required some capital in order to complete. Unfortunately not everyone has the means to do a complete office overhaul, nor the space to do so. Take a look at a sitting nook turned office, all done for under $225.

Her first steps were to move her office furniture from another part of her house,  into this space.

The decorating begins with wallpapering her desktop and the front cabinets of her desk:

She also made her own bulletin boards and file cabinet labels, she is quite crafty isn’t she?

Adding more accessories and wall decorations to go along with her pink + white color scheme:

This was a great example on working with what you’ve got. It’s not always easy or possible to run out and purchase new office furniture, but you can do wonders with what you already have.

Here are some of my suggestions:

• Never keep a printer on top of your desk, the only electronics should be your keyboard/monitor
• If possible, I would stain the chair to white so that it matches the rest of the light and colorful office.
• Replace the monitor/keyboard with lighter versions such as silver or white

Other than those few things I would say this home office nook is almost perfect. My favorite part of this space? The chandelier. Nothing says glamor like a chandelier in the office!
