Describe your office space to us:
The Westside Nannies office is an open space filled with a mixture of modern design, vintage pieces, elegant storage solutions, and a touch of old world charm. The combination of stylish yet functional furniture makes it a place where work takes center stage without making us feel we’re stuck in a traditional “office” – we actually really enjoy spending the bulk of our time here because it is so warm and comfortable. And as an agency, we wanted to make sure this space made our candidates feel professional and well-represented each time they walk through the door!
Where did the inspiration for your office space design come from?
Most of my style and design preferences have come from my varied travels and experiences – beautiful boutique hotels like Mollies on Tweed in Auckland New Zealand, vintage furniture shopping in London, beautiful old architecture in Italy, and the modern spaces of Los Angeles have all collided to create a unique aesthetic.
What is your favorite part/design of your office space and why?
We love the vintage French doors that divide the two office spaces. The doors were sourced from an architectural salvage shop in Downtown LA and have been refinished, painted and brought to life – they bring a history and unexpected feeling of comfort to an otherwise modern space. Another favorite piece is the large-scale commissioned artwork by up-and-coming LA artist, Mason McCulley.
Do you feel that having a well designed and inspiring office has changed the way you and your employees work?
Absolutely! We spend more time at the office than we do almost any other place, and because of that, it is vital for it to be a space we enjoy coming to and working in. We have also found that having a peaceful and un-cluttered work environment enables us to be more productive and enhances our creativity.

Westside Nannies is a boutique nanny agency with offices in Beverly Hills and San Francisco that specializes in placing professional and educated nannies with busy LA and SF families. Best known for placing nannies with high profile and celebrity families, the agency has been featured on programs such as Entertainment Tonight, Dr. Phil, and E! News.
In creating an office space, we wanted to intertwine the values and personality of Westside Nannies into each detail, from the paint color to the crown molding and furniture selections. For us, that means being clean, simple, understated, and tasteful. We felt that our office should be a reflection of who we are as individuals and business people as opposed to a cold, empty room with desks and chairs. A well-thought through office space truly has made a difference in the way we work!
